Ordering & Purchasing Policy
Thank you for choosing Silver and Steel Studio! We are a small family owned & operated company dedicated to making a quality product & having satisfied customers. We will do everything we possibly can for our clients to be “absolutely tickled” with each custom-made piece and every purchasing experience.
Custom Orders
Custom orders are the life blood of our business. All our pieces can be customized with your brand, initials, different designs, etc. We are only limited by imagination and budget. Our waiting list for building custom pieces varies, but generally runs 4 – 6 weeks. To accommodate that lag time, we do not ask for payment or a deposit at the time the order is placed. Instead, we have found the best policy seems to be one where payment is due at the time of creation. We will contact you 7 to 10 days before your order is scheduled for creation. At this time we will finalize the details of your order and issue an invoice. We accept payment in cash, check*, credit/debit cards, or PayPal. Once the invoice has been paid, the creation process begins!
(*) - If paying by check, please expect an additional 5 -7 business days for the check to clear our accounts.
Specialized Orders
We consider specialized orders to be those with unusual sizes, shapes, non-traditional designs, etc. Typically specialized orders require us to substantially alter our processes and/or make new patterns. These projects are only accepted after careful review.
Shipping
Our preferred shipping method is Priority Mail through the U.S. Post Office. The Priority Mail service is generally the most affordable and provides tracking & delivery confirmations. We will ship using FedEx or UPS upon client request and subject to additional fees.
Exchanges
All our work is unique. That’s what makes this so much fun and keeps things from getting boring. However, it also creates challenges for certain situations. On any purchase if you are not completely satisfied or if you need a different size you may return the item within 30 days of confirmed delivery date for exchange or store credit- less shipping costs.
Christmas & Gifts Extension
Warranty & Repair
Silver and Steel Studio offers a 1 year warranty on all of our pieces. Any piece we make that is found to be defective due to material or workmanship - subject to inspection - will be replaced or repaired at no charge within 1 year of purchase. After the 1 year warranty, any repairs will be at the customer’s expense.

- We do not offer refunds on Special/Custom orders, Store Credit only.
- Specialized orders & Closeout sales are non-exchangeable.
Christmas & Gifts Extension
- We understand that sometimes the timing of gifts doesn’t fit the 30 day return window. For pieces ordered as gifts for other, we offer an extended 90 day return period, based on original confirmed delivery date.

- Chains and necklace cords are sold at wholesale prices as a courtesy to our customers. Since they are provided by a 3rd party, these items are not under warranty.
- If your item is in need of cleaning, antiquing or maintenance; we offer these services complimentary. Please contact us for instructions and scheduling of this service.
